To all QPCC 8-a-Side players,
We are pleased to welcome you to the 2018 edition of the QPCC 8-a-Side Members Football Tournament!
Through the draft process 97% of players have been assigned to teams, but we have a select few new members and one or two hangers-on who still need to be assigned, and this will be done by Saturday's kickoff. Captains are being contacted by their respective age division coordinators to make arrangements. If you are on this email you are already on a team and should know where you're playing through the website.
All fixtures have been posted to the website, and once you've submitted your email in your registration and are receiving this email, you should get emails 24hrs before each game. But for clarity, the first round of games kicks off at 3:55pm. Teamopolis also has a simple app that you can try out if you prefer to the website.
Uniform distribution will be on Saturday as usual. As mentioned previously we would like as many members as possible to pay in advance to avoid bottlenecks in the process. Please be sure to walk with your receipt, as this is your "ticket" to getting the uniform.
Should you not be able to pay at the office, our cashiers will be up-and-running in the usual "coaches' window" by 12:30 on Saturday to facilitate. But remember, this is a slower process and will be more time consuming. Once payment is made you bring your receipt up to the designated collection area for your division.
Conduct of players
While we love the competitive spirit, before the first whistle is blown we wish to emphasize that this is a FUN tournament for the enjoyment of our members of all skill levels. In recent years we have seen and heard of issues of poor sportsmanship and where applicable we have dealt with them through the committee. This approach will continue, and even be stepped up as warranted. We urge respect for your Club, your fellow members and our referees at all times.
